How does payment work?
Payments are simple and hassle-free! Your chosen credit card will be automatically charged online every 4 or 40 weeks depending on the hire term you select, making it quick and easy to stay on top of things.
How and how soon will I get the instrument?
You have two convenient options for receiving your guitar:
School Delivery - Free:
We can deliver the guitar free, directly to your child’s school through our great partnership with Monster Music, ensuring it’s handed over with ease.
Home Courier: For a small additional fee, we can have the guitar couriered straight to your home.
Whichever option you choose, we’ll do our absolute best to get the guitar to you or your child within 5 days.
What if it’s the wrong size instrument?
No problem if the guitar isn’t the right size! Simply send us a message (hello@instrumenthire.co.nz), and we’ll arrange a swap for a more suitable option. If we don’t have an alternative available, we’ll happily take the guitar back and provide a refund. That said, our range of instruments is designed to fit the needs of most children!
How long can I hire an instrument for?
You can hire the guitar for as long as you need, with just a 8 week minimum rental period. It’s flexible and hassle-free.
How do I cancel my rental?
Login and cancel your subscription in your account, or just let us know via email (hello@instrumenthire.co.nz) that you would like to end your hire agreement and we can arrange to get the guitar back from you.
How can I return the instrument for a service?
Need your hired guitar serviced? Just email us at hello@instrumenthire.co.nz, and we’ll arrange a day and time to get it sorted. Don’t forget - you’re entitled to a free guitar service every 6 months!
What happens if my child damages the guitar?
We understand that instruments can get damaged. If this happens, just let us know as soon as possible. We take this on a case by case basis and will always resolve it in a way that is fair for both parties. We aren't robots and are always happy to have a conversation should something bad happen to a guitar rental.
